Traffic Diversion Analysis in Highway Work Zone Utilizing Simulation

摘要: 为更好地研究高速公路施工区的交通分流现象,文中通过交通仿真的方法研究了短期和长期施工区对道路交通的影响,并建立了基于施工时间和交通需求/通行能力比例的分流预测模型。结果表明:动态交通分配模型的day-to-day learning模块可以较好地揭示出行时间的变化对于出行者路径选择的影响;此外,短期施工区的交通分流对于时间因素不敏感,长期施工区的分流主要受到交通需求和通行能力比例的影响。可见交通仿真方法以及分流预测模型对于高速公路施工区的交通组织具有支持作用。

Abstract: In order to explore the traffic diversion adjacent to the highway work zone, this paper investigates the effect of the short-term and long-term work zone with the simulation method. Additionally, a predicting model for the traffic diversion was built based on the demand/capacity ratio and number of days. The results indicate the dynamic traffic assignment and day-to-day learning module are able to simulate effects of travel time variance on travelling route choice. Moreover, the time variable is not significant for the diversion in short-term work zone, while the long-term work zone is mainly affected by the demand/capacity ratio. The simulation approach and traffic diversion predicting model is meaningful for the traffic management in highway work zone.
